The short version: FollowMyCast collects nothing. Your heart-rate and sleep data are read from Apple Health directly on your iPhone, used only to detect when you fall asleep, and never leave your device. The app has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no ads.
With your explicit permission, FollowMyCast reads the following from Apple Health (HealthKit), strictly on your device:
All processing happens locally on your iPhone. Health data is used for exactly two things: pausing playback when you fall asleep, and placing the resume bookmark a few minutes before that moment. Computed values (such as the time you fell asleep for a given listening session) are stored only in the app's local storage on your device.
You can revoke Health access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → FollowMyCast. Deleting the app deletes all of its local data, including listening history and bookmarks.
FollowMyCast is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. Sleep detection is approximate and exists purely for playback convenience.
